The Mainely Empowering Foundation is a dedicated Maine nonprofit focused on preventing eviction and foreclosure while promoting long-term financial stability for families. We bridge the gap between immediate housing needs and sustainable empowerment, addressing both urgent crises and the systemic issues that contribute to housing instability.

Intervening early is crucial. Providing support ahead of crises leads to better outcomes for families. Our approach—rooted in prevention, resource navigation, and financial education—proves to be both effective and less traumatic compared to crisis response alone.

Join the Mission: Empowering Maine Together

At the Mainely Empowering Foundation, we believe that true change happens when a community stands together. Our volunteers are the “light” in our lighthouse—providing guidance, stability, and protection to those navigating difficult times. Whether you have a few hours a month or a specific skill to share, there is a place for you here.
